  Funny people are coming to Montgomery to make us laugh while we drink something delicious at the new-ish biergarten. It’s on Valentine’s Day, too, so you even have an excuse to invite a cutie to go with you.

• 6th Annual Mardi Gras Block Party & Cajun Cook-Off

  Commerce Street is hosting a Mardi Gras party with an accompanying Cajun cook-off. Vendors from around the city will be competing for the tastiest treats. The event is free (YAY!) but the tasting tickets cost $20.

• Bluegrass Revival Winter Jam

  Music! Family friendly! Free! It checks all the boxes. The Bluegrass Revival Winter Jam will be hosted again at the Sanctuary, only one day ahead of the Sanctuary Showdown.

  I have it on good faith that the Sanctuary Showdown is a friendly competition of the finest of the River Region’s most skilled musicians. The intimate venue is a perfect place to get a wonderful taste of some new-to-you local artists.
